Todo cambio hace que determinadas cosas terminen. Queda la inevitable sensación de no saber si han ocurrido. Lo real se transforma en un recuerdo, y poco a poco se va diluyendo como si se tratara de un sueño.
Lugares que están en mi memoria, pero no tengo la certeza de haber estado en ellos.
Las obras son una materialización de una idea o recuerdo. No suelo tomar imágenes de referencia, ya que no busco veracidad en las representaciones sino más bien transmitir una cierta sensación o un cierto estado en el que me encontraba cuando pintaba la obra.
Difuminados entre recuerdos y ensoñaciones, los cuadros e ilustraciones de Miguel Solans (Zaragoza, 1990) transportan a un espacio liminal en el que la veracidad cede el paso a una realidad íntima y emocional de imágenes ambiguamente autobiográficas. Iniciándose en el dibujo desde niño, desarrolla primero un interés por la ilustración, a la par que recibe influencias de la cultura skater tanto a nivel musical y cinematográfico como humano. Impregnando la presencia de textura en su obra, mantiene un proceso de trabajo analógico que parte del dibujo y del registro del lápiz en el papel, centrándose en colores vibrantes que se incluyen como otro más de sus sujetos recurrentes. Caballos, flores y retratos se encuadran por igual en composiciones que danzan entre la centralidad y la inclinación para provocar un juego ilusorio de perspectivas y capas de profundidad y complejidad psicológica

All change brings certain things to an end, leaving the inevitable feeling of not knowing if they ever happened. All things real are transformed into a memory, and with time they gradually fade away, as if they were a dream.
Places that live in my memory but I have no certainty of ever having visited.
These works are a materialisation of an idea or memory. I don't usually take reference images, as I am not looking for veracity in my representations, but rather to portray a certain sensation or a certain state in which I was when I painted the work.
Blurred between memories and daydreams, the paintings and illustrations of Miguel Solans (Zaragoza, 1990) transport us to a liminal space in which veracity gives way to an intimate and emotional reality of ambiguously autobiographical images. He started drawing as a child and first developed an interest in illustration, at the same time as he received the influence of the skater culture, on a musical, cinematographic and human level. Impregnating texture in his work, he maintains an analogical working process that starts from drawing and the use of pencil on paper, focusing on vibrant colours that are yet another of his recurring subjects. Horses, flowers and portraits are equally framed in compositions that dance between centrality and an inclination to provoke an illusory play of perspectives and layers of depth and psychological complexity.
